John W. Campbell Jr

John Wood Campbell, Jr. (1910-1971) was editor of Astounding Science Fiction (retitled Analog Science Fiction and Fact in 1960) from 1937 until 1971.

He wrote sf himself under the pseudonym Don A. Stuart. This work includes the novella Who Goes There? (1948) which has been filmed twice, as John Carpenter‘s The Thing (1982)
